Last year Chanel caused quite a stir when the brand dropped the Monsieur de Chanel, which was its first men's watch with an in-house produced movement (the Caliber 1), with a little help from Romain Gauthier, who produced some of the parts like the wheels. Not only was the watch impressive mechanically, but also aesthetically.
