Spring was definitely in the air as Marchesa’s Fall 2023 collection, featuring ethereal gowns with floral embellishments aplenty, hit the runway at Neiman Marcus San Francisco on May 4. (A lush flower-festooned backdrop designed by J. Riccardo Benavides was perfectly on theme.) The retailer linked up once again with San Francisco Opera Guild for a benefit fashion show and luncheon, cochaired this year by Kim Dempster, Elizabeth Malkassian and Jorge Maumer. (Neiman Marcus VP Mark Sullivan was an honorary chair.) Opera Guild executive director Susan Malott noted “the elegance of our attendees and their enthusiasm for getting in the spirit of the event.”
