This purse dates back to the 1970s when Chanel did not assign style numbers to their bags, so this has none. However, based on my experience selling luxury handbags, going back some years, there is nothing fake about this purse. Considering its age, this bag is in remarkably good condition. There's the expected wear along the edges of the bag, which isn't that noticeable unless one is examining the bag up close. There is also a patch at the back of the bag where the finished leather surface has been worn away from rubbing against the owner's hip. However, the leather surface is quite intact and there is no peeling of the finished leather surface away from the worn area. The chain-link shoulder strap is in very good condition compared with other bags from this era, with only one place that I can find where leather strap is loose. Chain length from top of bag is 22" Bag height is 7". Bag width is 6.5". Bag depth is 1.5" when flat. The tassel is in very good condition. (See all photos.)
