In 2020, the high jewellery ateliers of Chanel rendered the label’s signature tweed fabric into necklaces, rings and bracelets. Three years after its initial launch, Tweed de Chanel was unveiled in London with two days of events, including a dinner at the British Museum attended by Keira Knightley and Kylie Minogue.

Coco had a 14-year love affair with Hugh Richard Arthur, the Duke of Westminster, and fell in love with the lifestyle of the English aristocracy. She famously borrowed his tweed jackets and gave reinterpretations of them in her collections. The Chanel tweed suit became a staple of the mademoiselle’s designs and it continues to be an iconic symbol for the couture house to this day.
