The 'Fuller Coverage' Face Base Round-Up – The Anna Edit

Halorrrr my lovely ladiess….. Do you find foundation searching is a very time consuming task? and often you fell into dilemma on which foundation to choose? To me finding the right foundation is like finding the right Husband. Trust me it’s not easy to find the right one. This round I spend almost 2month testing and trying out the foundation. I prefer a oil free foundation and give a little glowy finishing not too matte finishing. So I tried a few before I decide to pick this Channel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation. Those few I tried are Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, Tarte ian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15, Bare Mineral bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation, Benefit ‘Hello Flawless!’ Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation, Dior Star Fluid Foundation SPF 30 and Guerlain ‘Lingerie de Peau’ Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation. When i say I tried means I put them on my face for a day to see if I like them not just swatching it on my hand… I usually obtain a sample to bring home to try it out or I go to the store or counter bare face and get the SA to apply on my face and I continue with my shopping for a whole day and I evaluate if I like the foundation. So in the end I pick Channel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation because of it’s lightweight and oil free texture. Introduction Perfection has met its matte. Lightweight and oil-free, the unique formula of this fluid foundation provides a long-lasting, matte-velvet finish. Soft-focus pigments smooth and perfect the skin for a flawless look that lasts all day. Product Info Product Name : Channel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation (I am using 20 Beige) Net Weight : 30ml Price : RM 161 Where to Buy : Channel Counter Nationwide(Malaysia) | Channel Counter (International) Skin Type : Normal to Combination Skin and Oily Skin (I think might not be so suitable for Dry skin as it can be a little bit dry) Ingredients source Packaging It comes in a glossy solid black plastic rectangle plastic bottle which I feel it look classic and simple. It has a very clean bottle design with clear white fonts. The bottle is lightweight so bringing it for travel is not problem at all. It fit nicely on my palm and squeezing the product out is very easy as the texture is very watery not very creamy so it flow out easily without needing to put much pressure. Being very watery also means it can become messy as it flows out easily and the edge of the nozzle always filled with extra product flowing out and thus the cap will have left over product which you need to clean them occasionally ( you can see the stain of the foundation left over on the cap, I had actually clean it up, before this it look so dirty and messy). I am not liking the screw in cap as it need more time to fit into the small opening to tighten it and the squeeze nozzle cause a lot of messiness. Texture & Scent It has a very pleasant scent and I love it…. The texture is the main reason why I purchased this. It is the lightest foundation I tried to date, almost feel like water. It has a light coverage enough to even out skin tone and cover some fine line. Concealer is required if you have any scar, blemish or dark spot. It finish off with a soft velvet matte finishing which is amazing. It does not feel too matte and gives a very natural finish to my skin. It feels almost like second skin and no one realize that I had foundation on, yes that’s how natural it is. Cindy’s Thought I have been using this foundation for almost 3months now…. Like I mentioned above, the texture and finishing is so amazing. It give the most natural finish ever that does not wash off my skin tone. You can see the tone of the before and after very similar right? I like to use this for day time and for my everyday look but not for special occasion because the coverage is too sheer for any special event. Just slightly fairer compare to my original skin tone. I am using 20 beige shade. For special occasion I usually require full coverage I will mix it with my Dr G Brightening Balm (BB cream) to give it extra glow and coverage. I can skip the powder if I want to but most of the time I still puff on some powder to set the foundation. The foundation last for at least five hours and on second hour it will start to turn oily on the T-Zones but at minimal. Even after 5 hour my skin still feeling alright not overly oily like my other foundation (yes my other foundation are mostly dewy finish). I think it does help control oil compare to other foundation I tried but yet does not make the face look too matte. I am not a fan of matte finish because it emphasize my lines and harder to blend. I think I like it because it give the in between finish of matte but soft velvet finish. It does not give any glow to the face so you need to swipe on illuminating powder or mix with your dewy finish foundation. I find mixing with another foundation give the perfect texture I want, dewy but non greasy finish. The price was not overly pricey pretty similar to other counter brand. Conclusion & Rating **Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. Product is purchased by myself and review are based on my honest opinion on the product.
